Campaign for Men is our national male recruitment campaign, with The Arby’s Foundation as the lead sponsor. Historically, we have been more successful in recruiting women to volunteer while being unable to meet the needs of boys due to a shortage of male volunteers. Under the leadership of the Nationwide Leadership Council Marketing & Communications Committee, including BBBSA vice president of marketing and communications, Kay Keenan, we have begun an integrated campaign to help you recruit more male volunteers, including research, templates, and tested ad-campaigns. We know that this recruitment is essential for you to continue to be effective in your communities and continue to strive to reach our goal of serving 325,000 children by 2010. Testimonial Ad Campaign African-American Research: In 2007, pivotal research was conducted to learn more about attracting African-American male volunteers. Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies in Philadelphia, St. Louis, and Baltimore served as test sites for the research. After conducting focus groups, we came out with some knowledge that is key to moving our Campaign for Men forward.
